Former ‘Smash’ actress Megan Hilty married long-time boyfriend Brian Gallagher this weekend, in what she described as her ‘perfect’ Las Vegas wedding.
The couple had a very intimate ceremony at The Venetian Chapel for immediate family only.
The musical television show star wore a stunning white Badgley Mischka gown with a silver embellished bodice and lace train. She carried a white floral bouquet and styled her short blonde hair in soft curls. Accessories were kept to the absolute minimum, as Megan allowed her dazzling ring to take all the glory!
According to a survey conducted by post-it note company 3M, young brides of today are no longer opting for the traditional white dress, preferring instead to marry in colour.
Whether this is merely a sign of the times, or simply a new fashion trend set by a number of A-listers including Jessica Biel and Reese Witherspoon…who knows??
Either way, it seems that colour could soon be making a splash on the aisles…
It seems July is a popular time to get married, with a number of celebrities having recently maximised the good European weather to tie the knot.
Oscar winning actress Halle Berry and her French love, Olivier Martinez married in an intimate ceremony at the picturesque Chataeu des Conde in Burgundy, France, celebrated by 60 of their close friends and family. Halle is said to have donned a simple white dress with embellished straps, arriving at the venue in a white vintage Citroen DS.
Legendary singer Tina Turner also tied the knot with her long-term partner Erwin Bach. The 73-year-old singer and German record company executive Erwin, 57, exchanged vows in a Buddhist ceremony on the shores of Lake Zurich in Switzerland.
Finally, television personality Denise Welch married Lincoln Townley in a private villa on the Algarve, in front of 260 friends and family. Guests including Loose Women co-hosts Lisa Maxwell, Shobna Gulati, Carol McGiffin and Andrea McLean attended alongside celebrities Jill Halfpenny, Ingrid Tarrant, Christopher Biggins and Tricia Penrose. Denise wore a lemon-coloured raw silk and Chantilly lace gown made for her by Sharon Bowen.
Yet another beautiful bride to make us green with envy…this week – Miss Universe Australia Erin McNaught and musician Example who tied the knot in beautiful New South Wales.
Erin wore a jaw dropping custom made Steven Khalil dress – classically elegant and simple, with a very unique, stylish peplum twist. She completed her look with a killer pair of Giuseppe Zanotti for Kanye West wedding shoes – far from simple but very much on trend!
This weekend saw a number of celebrities tying the knot, including Olympic athlete Jessica Ennis and popular TV presenter Melanie Sykes.
Jessica gave yet another award winning performance, as she stepped out in a sleeveless V-necked ivory gown with a ruffle tulle skirt. She completed her look with a full-length veil and elegant bouquet comprising cream and pink roses. Met by an applauding crowd, it was clear her style was spot on!
Melanie went for an original shade dress, showcasing a unique peach crystal studded gown which glistened in the afternoon sunshine. She looked effortlessly beautiful with a simple tied back hairstyle and kept accessories to a minimum with a statement pair of giant pearl earrings.

Knightley married Klaxons keyboardist James Righton in France, this weekend. She celebrated with her nearest and dearest and stuck to her guns with a low key simple wedding. She wore a simple strapless Rodarte dress that is giving the press a field day as it looks to have been recycled from a 2008 bafta party. Who cares if she has worn the dress before, she wanted to be comfortable for her wedding and wore a dress she loved, good for her. We think Keira looked simply stunning.
For the low key wedding look, we also love the simply stunning Sophia headband.
NYK, where have you been?? We’ve been to New York Bridal fashion week, returned with so much inspiration that we’ve been hard at work on our collection. In the mean time, spring has sprung. April Showers have given way to May flowers and the world is yet again fresh and green, and the MET Ball happened on Monday night.
Overall the looks were not overly over the top and all of the dresses (except Beyonce) were very much wearable in real life.
