Romantic Round Up!

This weekend was packed full with celebrity wedding bells, what with 3 weddings and a proposal!

Starting with fashion designer and actress Lauren Conrad, best known for her role in the US reality show The Hills. The 27-year-old designer got engaged to her law student beau William Tell after 2 years together, and headed straight to Pavilions in West Hollywood to stock up on wine and cases of beer and cider in preparation for a possible party. Thankfully she was keen to flash her diamond so we got a sneaky peek!

Never one to shy away into the background, Jessica Simpson upstaged her best friend and publicist Lauren Auslander, in a revealing blue bridesmaid dress which showed off her cleavage in all its glory and attracted much attention!

Onto the weddings! Grammy award winning music producer and entrepreneur Pharrell Williams tied the knot with fashion designer Helen Lasichanh in an intimate ceremony at the Kampong National Tropical Botanical Gardens in Coconut Grove. Pharrell rocked a red tartan suit, while Helen opted for a voluminous checked blue puffed-sleeved gown with a tiara, rosary beads and diamond earrings. Guests were treated to a star-studded concert later in the evening, starring Usher and Busta Rhymes. We can only imagine…!

Despite being well renowned for her flashy style on the red carpet, actress Rose McGowan wowed in a very traditional white wedding gown when she tied the knot on Saturday in a romantic ceremony to artist Davey Detail in front of 60 guests. Rose’s strapless A-line silk Monique Lhuillier creation featured a corset and Chantilly lace draped with a fine tulle overlay, and the waistline of the dress was accented with a knot detail cascading into the skirt. She finished her bridal look with a raw edge chapel-length tulle veil and Jimmy Choo shoes.

Wedding Belles

This week, we bring you pictures of the ever beautiful Kate Bosworth, who married Michael Polish in a picturesque setting on a mountain top in Montana. Kate wore two dresses; both of which were created by legendary designer Oscar de la Renta.

She arrived at the intimate ceremony in a horse drawn carriage, adorning an ivory radzimir-satin strapless ball gown, complete with an eight-foot long and 16-foot-wide train for the ceremony. She complemented the minimalist look with an elegant diamond headband and diamond earrings, courtesy of sparkling estate diamond jewellery.

For the reception, the newlywed swapped her ball gown for a traditional gown and wore a floral embroidered tulle gown with scalloped cap sleeves.

A Whirlwind of Weddings…

This weekend saw a number of celebrities tying the knot, including Olympic athlete Jessica Ennis and popular TV presenter Melanie Sykes.

Jessica gave yet another award winning performance, as she stepped out in a sleeveless V-necked ivory gown with a ruffle tulle skirt. She completed her look with a full-length veil and elegant bouquet comprising cream and pink roses. Met by an applauding crowd, it was clear her style was spot on!

Melanie went for an original shade dress, showcasing a unique peach crystal studded gown which glistened in the afternoon sunshine. She looked effortlessly beautiful with a simple tied back hairstyle and kept accessories to a minimum with a statement pair of giant pearl earrings.

Lady Charteris’ Wedding

Fashion and music royalty got together on Saturday to celebrate the wedding of Lady Mary Charteris and Big Pink musician, Robbie Furze. The model bride wore an odd gown of cut outs, frills and angles(made by Pam Hogg); whilst the groom wore pinstripes and a unruly mop of hair.

The wedding was attended by celebrities and nobles alike. Heavily pregnant Lily Allen attended with her daughter, as well as songstress, Florence Welch and Beer heiress, Auntie Daphne Guinness.

Perhaps for your wedding you’d like to emulate Lady Mary’s look, but tone it down a bit. Try it with NYK Wedding’s Sofiya Elbow length veil.

Cheers to the happy couple and you!
